SREE NARAYANA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Sree Narayana College of Education at Mahe, affiliated to Pondicherry Central University & Recognised by NCTE was established in the year 1995. The college is managed by Sree Narayana Educational Guidance Society at Thalassery, which is a charitable society registered in the year 1987. The prime aim of the society is to promote professional education to the backward class of the community especially those who are educationally and socially disadvantaged. Dr. M.A.Sundaram, a well known physician and philosopher of Thalassery was the Chairman of the college for a very long period. He was succeeded by Dr. N.K. Ramakrishnan, the founder Principal of the college as Chairman. So far the college has produced 3000 successful teachers. Majority of them are working as teachers in different parts of our country.

The college has its own building in the heart of Mahe town which is easily accessible from the main road towards Cemetery road. No doubt, it is a classical building constructed as per the norms of the NCTE. The playground is at Cherukallayi, a visible distance away from the college
The Society has procured an extent of 1 acre and 44 cents of land for constructing the college building. 28 cents of land in the heart of the town is used for constructing the building. 1 acre and 16 cents is earmarked for playground.
