The college is approved by Govt. of Puducherry, recognized by N.C.T.E, the statutory body at National level, and affiliated to Pondicherry Central University. It was established in the year 1995. The B.Ed. Degree awarded by Pondicherry Central University is recognized by all other Universities as well as Kerala P.S.C and U.P.S.C.

It is situated between Calicut and Kannur districts of Kerala. The Society has procured an extent of 1 acre and 44 cents of land for constructing the college building. 28
