           The library at Sree Narayana College of Teacher Education is a cornerstone of academic excellence, providing students and faculty with an extensive collection of books, journals, and research materials. Our library boasts a diverse and rich collection of texts, catering to various subjects in education and allied fields.

         In addition to physical resources, the library offers access to a wealth of online resources, including platforms like eShodhSindhu and the National Digital Library of India (NDLI). These resources ensure that our academic community has the latest and most comprehensive digital tools at their fingertips, supporting a wide range of research and learning needs.

    With these offerings, the library serves as a hub for knowledge, fostering an environment conducive to academic growth and innovation.

ABOUT THE LIBRARY

 

A well-equipped library is essential for the proper functioning of every educational institution. The Sree Narayana College of Education library has a collection of 7977 books, 21 periodicals and journals. The library has a computerized system with library management software Koha with OPAC regarding the availability, issue, and return of books which facilitates utilization and save time of users. Library hours are from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF LIBRARY

 

  1. All the users entering the Library must keep their bags and other belongings at the entrance and sign in the Register at the Do not leave any valuables at the Check Point.
  2. Bags, Umbrella, Personal Books and other items, Wearing Aprons or Coats are not allowed inside the library.
  3. Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the
  4. Students should produce their identity card while borrowing
  5. Students on receiving the books should check their physical condition, as they are held responsible for any damage found later.
  6. Silence should be strictly maintained in the
  7. Mobile phones and other devices likely to cause disturbance are not used in the library
  8. Misbehaviour in the library is strictly
  9. Users are requested to co-operate in maintaining conducive atmosphere to study, many of the reading materials possessed by this library are very precious, rare and also irreplaceable. Please handle them with utmost care.
  10. The library books/Journals are not to be spoilt with an underlining, or scribbling on
  11. Defaulters will be fined heavily equal to the cost of replacing of the
  12. Show the book at the checkpoint before taking out the issued books.
  13. All the students who want to return the books issued on their names are advised to wait until the books are shown as cancelled against their names
  14. Students are advised not to give books to others on their
  15. Beverages and Eatables are not allowed inside the
  16. Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any
  17. All students are advised to come to the Library in decent dress as they are in the
  18. Periodicals, Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Project Reports, Reference sources are to be referred in the
  19. Loss of books, if any, should be reported to the librarian immediately and it should be replaced with a new
  20. When a member leaves the college, he/she shall return all the books without fail.
